Our Policies
Dear guests,
Welcome to Honey Bear Hideaway Lakeside Cabins, LLC We take great pride in the cleanliness and appearance of our cabins and property. Please let us know if it doesn’t meet with your expectations. If you need something, please do not hesitate to text or call. We hope you and your family will respect our facility and leave it as you found it.
- Quiet time – 11 pm – 7 am Monday – Sunday. Please, respect other guests.
- Maximum Occupancy 4 people.
- Arrival – please text or call Sylwia that you are on property when you arrive.
- Parking – Park in designated areas. See map.
- DO NOT SMOKE IN THE CABINS – STATE LAW PROHIBITS IT. Please smoke outside. Butts in the garbage. Please do not litter the grounds or lake with butts. A substantial professional cleaning fine will be assessed if there is any indication of smoking in the cabin. Charges permitted by law plus cleaning will be applied to your Credit Card.
- Bonfires – Please only make fires in your firepit outside of your cabin. We provide firewood. It is in the green shed across from the house. There is a 4-wheel cart to use to wood. Please return it immediately after getting your wood so other guests can use it.
- Fire restrictions – Follow current WI DNR and local fire warden restrictions. Current DNR fire restrictions & info access: https://apps.dnr.wi.gov/wisburn/#/BurnRestrictions
- Kids need to be under adult supervision outside and inside the cabin.
- Pet policy – To keep the property up to the highest standards at all time, no pets are allowed.
- Fireplace – please turn off after you done using it. Do not use fireplace overnight. You must be in the cabin while using it.
- Shoes – please remove shoes when entering the cabin. Dirt and sand is damaging to the floor and carpets and makes it impossible to turn the cabins over in a timely fashion. A cleaning fee will be assessed if carpet cleaning is needed. There is a shoe / boot caddy in the cabin.
- Dock – Please do not use docks with property next to ours. More rules located below.
- Local navigable water/ice conditions – Contact a local fishing club, bait shop or outfitters for ice conditions.

- No Lifeguard on duty.
- Speed – speed limit is 10 mph when driving on the property.
- Fish – Please clean fish outside. Put fish guts in the blue / white pail provided. Please close the lid. Give to Tim to dispose of.
- No bedding or bath towels outside please. There are rags under your sink to clean off deck chairs etc.
- Garbage – Please bag all garbage and put in the garbage dumpster by the green wood shed. Loose cardboard, pizza boxes etc. can go in the dumpster as is. Please do not put glass in the dumpster unless it is in a secure container.
- Grilling – all cabins have a charcoal grill. Grill utensils are in the cabin. Do not use the house utensils on the grill.
- Renter’s Responsibility: The renter is financially responsible for any damage, destruction, loss, or theft of the landlord’s personal property (furniture, electronics, linens, décor, sporting equipment, etc.) caused by the renter or any of their guests or invitees.
- Cost of Repair/Replacement: The renter is responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement of the damaged or missing item, whichever is higher, without deduction for depreciation.
- Septic Alarm – The septic alarm is to the north of the cabin by the power meter box. If septic alarm has activated, contact Allison the property manager. If she does not respond, please contact one of the property owners. The alarm can be reset by pushing the reset button.
- Power outages – please make sure you have a flashlight or lantern in case of a power outage.
- Tornado / Storm warnings – Monitor using TV, radio or cell phones.
- Watch – Be watchful of changing weather
- Warning – a tornado has been spotted on the ground or on radar in the area. Shelter in the interior of the cabin with no windows if possible. (Preferably the bathroom)
LAKE DOCK RULES
Safety Guidelines for All Users
LIFE JACKETS — REQUIRED
✓ All persons must wear a properly fitted life jacket at all times while on the water — no exceptions.
✓ Life jackets must be worn before boarding any kayak or paddle boat and remain on until you return to the dock.
✓ Life jackets must be fastened and buckled — wearing one loose or unclipped does not count.
CHILDREN AT THE DOCK
✓ Children must always be accompanied by an adult (18+) while at or near the dock area.
✓ Adults must maintain direct supervision of children at all times — no leaving kids unattended on or near the dock.
PROHIBITED ON THE DOCK
⛔ No diving or jumping from the dock. Water depth and underwater hazards are unpredictable — strictly enforced.
EQUIPMENT USE & RETURN
✓ Check that kayaks and paddle boats are in good condition before launching. Report any damage immediately.
✓ Return all equipment to its designated storage spot after use and secure it properly.
✓ No equipment use after dark or during storms. When in doubt, stay ashore.
⚠ Failure to follow these rules may result in loss of dock privileges. Safety comes first — always.
